Probably The Dumbest Creationist Argument Ever

On a forum i frequent they have a "politics and religion" section and it is brimming with creationist fundies, muslim fanatics and born again assholes. yeah, great fun.

Though most of the fundies have learned their lesson and don't try to debate evolution any more, we sometimes get the odd cretin who doesn't know the score come in and start parroting the creationist bullshit he has heard on a Kent Hovind (convicted fraudster) creationist propaganda video.

On the odd occasion, when one of these idiots ventures into unfamiliar water and tries to conjure an original thought, we get something quite spectacular. Spectacular in the sense of; wow, that is the stupidest thing i have ever heard.

Yesterday one such moron made this argument against evolution.

If Evolution happens, how come we don't see humans coming out of chimps and chimps coming out of humans?

When i asked him if he was serious (you never know if these types of comments are atheists making fun of creationist argument), he said.

With your dumb theory I would grow fur, I would be able to withstand heat and withstand being boiled alive.

Besides being a ridiculously stupid argument the thing that really angers me with these people is how they expect to hold an opinion regarding the validity of a science when don't even understand what the science is claiming.

It wouldn't be too bad if they admit that their beliefs are based on bronze age dogma and creation myths and stop pretending they have come to an informed conclusion after studying all the evidence.

It's another example of christians trotting out ready made answers and rhetoric that they have been trained to say, But when they are asked a question that they don't have a pre-planned answer for their brain stops working and they resort to referring you to their "leader" so he can tell you what thier opinion is.

Listen, Christians, If you are going to assume you have a right to tell people want to do at least have the decency to think it through using your own brain. Otherwise you are simply wasting our time and exposing yourselves as imbeciles incapable of having an original thought or opinion.

This is why if you have an opinion on a serious subject you have to base your opinion on what YOU believe and what YOU have researched, Not base it on what your religion demands you believe and rely on the boil-in-the-bag answers that come attached.

Hindu Gods Summoned To Court To Settle Property Dispute

A judge in India has summoned two Hindu gods, Ram and Hanuman, to help resolve a property dispute.

Judge Sunil Kumar Singh in the eastern state of Jharkhand has issued adverts in newspapers asking the gods to "appear before the court personally".

The gods have been asked to appear before the court on Tuesday, after the judge said that letters addressed to them had gone unanswered.

Ram and Hanuman are among the most popular Indian Hindu gods.

Judge Singh presides in a "fast track" court - designed to resolve disputes quickly - in the city of Dhanbad.

The dispute is now 20 years old and revolves around the ownership of a 1.4 acre plot of land housing two temples.

Do the religious go out of thier way to prove how moronic they are? And this isn't some smack head ranting on a street corner, This is a court of law!

Are Creationists Dumb On Purpose?

Any dialogue with a creationist soon makes it apparent that the average IQ of a creationist is that of a dog turd. But are these people really that stupid, Or is it a cunning plan to make us think that they really do believe this "god done it" tripe?

When creationist say things like "if we come from monkeys why aren't babies born monkeys and why don't we speak monkey?" ^[1] do they expect an evolutionary biologist to read that after a long day mapping genomes and say "of course, Evolution can't be true because we don't speak monkey!"?

When Kirk Cameron holds up pictures of his "crocoduck" ^[2] does he expect people like professor Dawkins to drop to his knees and weep at the realisation that his life has been wasted researching and teaching evolution?

For what it's worth, I don't think creationists are as stupid as they look. I don't think it's possible for anybody to be as stupid as creationists look and still manage to dress themselves.

I think what they are doing is pretending to be complete morons because that is the only way an adult can get away with not understanding something as simple as evolution. Evolutionary processes' have been explained countless times in countless different ways to these people it's impossible for them to claim that it still doesn't make sense unless they give the impression that they are too stupid to understand it.

Take Sherri Shepherd for example. This is a person who apparently understands evolution well enough to claim it isn't true yet has trouble figuring out if the earth is flat or not. This woman can't possibly be that dumb, can she? Or if she is that dumb what makes her think she is allowed an opinion on the validity of evolutionary theory?

The idiocy that is displayed by creationists can't possibly be genuine. It has to be either a defence mechanism or it's an attempt to drag the discussion down to a level of absurdity that makes intelligent discussion impossible.

It's like an adult who wants to believe in Santa. The only way they could possibly get away with it would be to give the impression that they are a bit simple.

The battle between science and creationism has reached the prestigious Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, where a former researcher is claiming he was fired because he doesn't believe in evolution.

Nathaniel Abraham filed a lawsuit earlier this week in US District Court in Boston saying that the Cape Cod research center dismissed him in 2004 because of his Christian belief that the Bible presents a true account of human creation.

Abraham, who is seeking $500,000 in compensation for a violation of his civil rights, says in the suit that he lost his job as a postdoctoral researcher in a biology lab shortly after he told his superior that he did not accept evolution as scientific fact.
