Biblical Events On Google Earth

The Glue Society were commissioned to create four images depicting biblical events as they would be seen on Google earth, If Google earth had existed at the time of the supposed events.

Noah's Ark on mount Ararat

Parting of the Red Sea

The Crucifixion

The garden Of Eden
I wonder how long it will take for some bozo to start referencing these images as evidence of biblical historical accuracy.

Probably a long time, people aren't that stupid. Besides that, the images are pretty cool. Nice ad hominem attack, though. It seems like that is all you do as of late.

  3. Also, Matt's comment is not an ad hominem in any sense of the word.

As a logical fallacy, the ad hominem fallacy is reasoning from the personal characteristics of a proponent directly to the validity of his argument. Note that "Dawkins is a terrific guy, therefore his beliefs about God are true" is as much an ad hominem fallacy as the more typical, "Fred Phelps is evil cretin, therefore his beliefs about gay people are false."

It's hard to take the reference to some bozo as being insulting to anyone other than someone who actually does take these images as evidentiary. The existence of such bozos is uncontroversial; people have used more obviously ridiculous "evidence" in support of their beliefs.
