RichardDawkins.net Banned From DIGG

It seems the christian right have used their sheer numbers yet again to bulldoze through freedom of speech and in to a realm where people have to do what they say. This time they are using digg to demonstrate their utter arrogance, Pettiness and contempt for anyone who dares question them.

After reading this interesting article on richarddawkins.net about an area of space 1 billion light years across which contains no stars I thought "digg would like this" so i clicked the "digg this" link on the site and was greeted with the message;
This URL has been widely reported by users as being regularly used to spam Digg's submission process and cannot be submitted at this time.
Spam! I clicked the back button to see which site i had been reading and it turned out to be the website belonging to everyone favorite neighbourhood atheist, Richard Dawkins. You can see the error page by clicking this link

Now, I think it should be obvious what is going on here. Richard Dawkins is not a spammer. His site has been banned as a result of a collective sabotage effort by those who disagree with him, Namely fundamental christian nut cases.

I guess they only like free speech when it's protecting their right to tell us that we are going to hell, Protects their right to protest at funerals and protects their right to spread hatred and homophobia.

I suggest everyone email digg (feedback@digg.com) and let them know about this abuse and strongly urge them to reverse the ban. It would be also handy if you could digg this story.

  1. Are you sure about this? Because I just emailed digg and they said it wasn't blocked.

  2. It appears to be unblocked now, But it was certainly blocked at the time this post was made... and if digg say anything different they are liars.

  3. With the almighty power of Richard Dawkins brain and resources I doubt he cares about being banned from Digg. You know, since he is his own god.

I am sure you will delete my comment but to say that Christians represent censorship is like kicking a baby in the nuts, it is cruel and unnecessary.

Talking about intolerance and bigotry, sheesh, I guess that when it comes to criticizing homosexuals and atheists it is called hate speech.

If you criticize Christians is an objective point of view...right?

See the good thing about this whole issue about atheists vs. Christians, is that more sooner than later the true evidence will come out, yeap, when we die.

If there was no God oh well, we don't care because we no longer exist, the problem is that if what these people preach is true, wow, humanity is setting itself up for an infinite time on a place where is always a toasty 30000 degrees with no chance of rain.

    Everybody believes in something:

In God we trust, you...have Richard.

May Richard bless you and help you in all you ways.

P.S. I have gay friends and atheist friends, there is always that we have in common....

    it is called, RESPECT.

    Peace.

I'm not going to delete your comment, Though i suspect mine would be deleted should i ever post on your blog (if you have one).

Religions as a whole have a long history of preventing people from saying or doing things which they disagree with, Or more precisely which contradict their belief.

We only have to look at christianities attempt to censor harry potter, And that is just a harmless child's book. We don't even have to mention the Islamic cartoons fiasco.

yes the evidence will present it's self them. But that doesn't mean you are right, it just means by the time you are proven wrong you wont exist. There is a bit of pascal's wager in what you say. It's just interesting that you bet on the christian god and not Zeus or Thor, Buddha or Vishnu.

In God we trust, you...have Richard.

Unfortunately, for you, Richard Dawkins isn't all we have. We also have logic and reasoning on our side. Something which your god doesn't seem to think is important. Instead of helping you further yourself and your intelligence by looking for evidence and reason, He teaches you to believe things on face value with the help of "faith".

Id also like to ask you. If christians and religion isn't responsible for RD being banned, Who do you think is?
